Hi All: The white patch in the photo above is Ice. We are in Seward, Alaska now. It's on the shore of Resurrection Bay. It's a bug Port and rail junction. Made it down here with no problems, and the rain was only every once in a while. Most of the day after we got here had been sunny and nice. The creek thru the campground that they said I could fish in is a Glacier River, so there are no Fish in it. There is no river/creek in the winter as the glacier's are not melting. A worker here at the park told me of a place up the road a ways that I may be able to get a Rainbow Trout. Amy and I checked out the place, and if I have time tomorrow I may go there and try to find one or two of those trout....

Above is a photo of the beautiful area on our way down from Anchorage to Seward. The Mountains are beautiful with parts of them showing glaciers or snow. Just beautiful. Some parts come close to the road we are on. We plan to go to the Exit Glacier here in Seward. We can walk to the glacier. We walked there last time we were here. I had just had my new knee installed, so it was a tough walk there. Hope it is easier this time. Do remember it is awful cold at the glacier. Never thought much about how big a glacier is, but it was over 20 feet thick and beautiful clear blue ice. AND cold. Must remember to take my big Alaska Coat...

Amy caught me looking at some of the local weeds here. We had drove down to the fishing area the local worker told me of that I may be able to pick up a couple rainbow trout for dinner tomorrow. Amy would not walk down the dirt road with me. She says that there is a bear waiting on us down there... Told her she could probably out run me, so she would be safe from a bear attack. hee hee.

Here is a nice site for our Motor Home. To bad Amy didn't take a photo of the mountains from inside our rig. Ice covered mountains. A Glacier river just 200 feet from the front of our rig. Oh, yea, we found out where all the mosquito's have been hiding. They are here.. I put a Bounce Dryer sheet in my pocket, and it sure seems to work... Went out later and they didn't want to have much to do with me.

We plan to be here one more night. Going to the Seward aquarium tomorrow, and I don't know what else. Might get to check out my fishing??? We drove down thru the town today. Did remember it.

Bob... It's the same campground we stayed at, and the road in here was even worse than it was when we were here before. Bending, twisting dirt road to the campground. The pot holes were some of the worst we've seen in Alaska yet. Guess the rain they have had has had an affect....Still a nice campground. However, we cannot get WiFi at our site. Nice to have our Verizon Thingy. It works well. Kind slow here, but works great....

We will be here one more night then on to Soldotna for my fishing trip on 30 July.....
