Hi All: Here we are in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories, Canada. We got here with no problems today, a trip of about 300 miles. A lot of ups and downs. I get about 5 MPG going up, and sometimes up to 10 MPG going down. There is always an up when there is a down, and vice versa... It was 48 degrees when we left Watson Lake this morning, and didn't warm up an awful lot to get to here. We are at the Pioneer RV Campground in Whitehorse, Yukon. We were here a couple times when here with Bob and Dorene in 2008. Still had the same Oriental gal at the desk.. Got assigned a site and unloaded the Saturn. Thought it was a pile of dirt. Took it to the Car/Rv wash with the cover on it and Amy and I washed it. Should say we just smeared the mud around on it... They have pressure washer sprayers there that have soap first, then you can change to rinse, then wax.. It cost one "Loonie" ($1.00) per 3 minutes. It cost us only two Loonies to mess up the Saturn. I think it cost us about 10 of them for the Motor Home last time we were here. I later found out that if you pressure wash these rigs the pressure can unseal the seal between the windows and cause them to fog up in between panes. I decided to leave the dirt on the Motor Home till we get to a place I can take it and wash it with a hose and a brush... Think we have a place like that in Fairbanks coming up in a few days.. Will be here three nights. Went to Walmart today in Whitehorse downtown. Big city. Capital of Yukon Territories....

Beautiful country driving down the road. Roads have been real good so far since we got out of the Watson Lake area. A few bumps that are well marked along the way. No gravel on this leg of the trip. Fear that will not continue...

Flower above is what they all "Fireweed" It is the first thing that grows after a forest fire up here. It does grow where there is little trees etc, and is a beautiful flower for an "FP"

Above is s shot of a few of the towers of sign forests. There are 10s of thousand of them in there from all over the world. It would take hours to walk along the tails in there and read all the signs. We did find the signs that Bob made for both of us on our last trip up here in 2008. We miss Bob and Dorene. They couldn't make this trip due to family illnesses etc. We send them both all our best wishing. Hang in there Bob....
Well, that's about all for now. Not sure what the cruise director has in mind for the next couple days, but I'm sure it will be good. She is great at this...Love her...
