Hi All:
For some reason I cannot get any photo's to upload to the blogger tonight. Might be that there are so many folks here at the campground on line. There is a storm going on North of us on the road to Chicken. It's another road to Alaska that is pretty rough. It is now washed out and will be closed for at least a week. Seems there are at least one caravan stuck up there, and there are two caravans of at least 20 each rigs here that cannot go that way. Now they will be on the road we plan to go, so it will be a busy road tomorrow I fear.....
Harry asked about the photo that was on top of the blog last time. Seems that I didn't explain what it was. It was a photo of a rig in front of us on the highway coming up here. It was about 75 yards in front of us. As you an see he cannot be seen. The repair work on the roads up here are all like that. Some are only a few feet, some are a mile or more. I'm sure there are more of that ahead of us. AND we have to come back the same way we got up here.
We will leave here in the morning for Beaver Creek, Yukon for one night, then on to Delta Junction, Alaska. Finally getting to Alaska. Plan to be there about 3 or 4 weeks, then back on the road again South....
Sorry for no photo's this time. Will catch up next time.

on the road to chicken. there's a title for a book if i ever saw one.
ReplyDeletei take it that the road work delays you describe are fairly normal events up that way? we would hate to find out you and amy were forced to become canadian citizens all because of potholes.
