Well, while I was waiting this little 1500 pound seal showed up. They were feeding him fish etc and he wanted more of course. Woke me up..
The photo above is at the glacier again. They are making new walkways for folks to get closer to the ice. I thought we were closer to the ice last time we were there. Still the ice made me think of Scotch on the rocks too Harry...hee hee.
This is a photo of the end of the Exit Glacier where it turns in to water and runs down on all the people of Alaska. The water from glacier's is always green, and there is no fish in the water. To cold I guess, and when it gets cold again and freezes up there is NO water for fish to live in. No "Fish on the Rocks" I guess.
We got to Soldotna early, so we stopped at the local "Fred Mayes" store for gas. Fred Mayers is a big store like Walmart. None of them around here, Just Fred Mayers. They are a little bigger than the Super Walmarts I think. We got behind another Motor Home that needed diesel and I think he must have loaded up a couple hundred gallons of the stuff. took about 30 minutes waiting on him to get out of the way. We filled up with our 30 gallons and went to the campground. Staying at Klondike Campground. Same place we stayed in 2008. Nice place. We then went to see where I have to be in the morning at 0530 for my fishing trip. Found it and then went back to Fred Mayers so I could get my King Salmon Stamp for fishing. Also got a pair of rain trousers just in case I need them in the morning, or tomorrow..
Amy did some more laundry here at the campground. Sounded like fun to me??? I sure appreciate her doing my clothes!!!!
Not much to report today. Hope I can have some nice photo's of fish for tomorrows report.......
