Hi All: We are still in Anchorage, AK. It rained most of the night and all morning, and all day, and it's now 1830 and it's still raining. We got up this morning and Amy thought we'd go to town for breakfast, so we got her Maps and hit the road. We are not used to being in a big town so it was trying.... We finally found the place that Amy had read about having the best breakfast in Alaska and I guess they may be right, as they were standing in line to get in, so we went up the street and found a Denny's and had breakfast there. There was a Fred Mayer's. It's like a real big big Walmart and spent some time in there looking around where it was not raining. Thought we'd then go to the museum in town and drove by it and it looked like it was not open yet so we came back to the Motor Home and unloaded the stuff bought at Fred Mayer's. Food and etc....

Bob, Here's a motor cycle Amy said she may even ride in. IF she gets a Tattoo?? Doubt she'll be getting one as the little tents they stay in is not of her liking...

Here is the Ulu factory. It's an Alaskan knife that they have been using since before time began. We got a couple of them last time we were here. Have never used it, but they do look like they would be useful????

It's been an awful day here. The TV won't work due to being digital and using the antenna, when it rains we get no picture. We will be watching a movie from our stash tonight I figure. At least we do have WiFi, and it works real good.

Amy did decide to take a ride to a festival area a little way from us this afternoon. She drove there and found a parking lot where you have to put your $2 in the machine and it will give you a parking permit. Well, she put her only two dollars in it and it took them but would not give her a permit, so she was pissed and she came home. Has been upset most of the day. Not sure if it was the $2, or me bitching about driving around in the rain looking for things to do?? Asked her if she wanted to go out for dinner and she said NO, so we didn't!!! She is now playing Snood, so maybe she'll get to feeling happier soon....???

Hope tomorrow is better than today, but the weather report is not real encouraging. Will just have to hope so. I am not coming back to this town ever.....
