Hi All: Still in Fairbanks, and today was great. No rain to speak of. should have made arrangements to go on out boat trip today instead of tomorrow. Couldn't have been a better day today... Got up to 71 degrees. We went down to the North Pole Christmas place this morning. Above is a picture of the QUEEN of Christmas. This is the seat the Santa usually sits in, but he was Not in today...It sure is a super Christmas place... They still play good Christmas music, and have the Manger scene displayed. At least they have not outlawed that here yet.

Above is our site at the "Riverview Campground" Has all a guy could want here except the nice restaurant they had in Branson,MO. Had to lay out the cover for the Saturn on the table to dry from my washing it. 'Then it rained for two days. I got it secured today though. Amy also did a bunch of laundry here today. Cost $4 per load for wash and dry. Had 4 loads. Maybe we should have bought a Motor Home with a washer and dryer????

A photo of all the trees that are everywhere up here. We went to the Culture and Visitors Center here in Fairbanks and took a tour from a Ranger there. He mentioned that some Japanese visitors were so amazed of the trees, as there are few to none trees in Japan. I do remember not seeing any trees there, nor were there many in Okinawa. Just one thing that we as Americans sometimes don't realize what we have here in America. I try to not EVER forget what is here for us....

I guess Amy found Santa at the Christmas house???? And Brenda, I am smiling.. ????

Was going to buy a white coat here, but I fear it may be to large. Couldn't have fit it in the Motor Home??
Well, going to take Amy out to dinner this evening. It's either McDonald's, or Wendy's??? She spent to much at the Booze store today. She was about out of Scotch. Had to hunt all over Fairbanks to find her brand of the stuff also. Did find my "Lord", but didn't need any yet. Guess she is using more than me??? Just kidding...
Until Next time..

  1. speaking of trees...

a friend of mine moved here from great britian and took up writing a blog called "coming to america". among other observations he made, our fire hydrant stands out most as a symbol that represents america to foreigners world-wide.
