Hi All: Another rainy day in Alaska. It has been raining most of the day since yesterday at 1430 while I was on my "Wonderful" fishing trip. Yuck.....Amy did most of the exciting stuff today. "Laundry" at the laundry here at the campground. She says the machines worked very well. We had breakfast here that "I" cooked for the Laundry lady, then we went to the Visitors Center where you can walk down on the Kenai river and fish if you want. Above is a picture of My Sweetie at a carved bench at the visitors center.

The photo above as also at the visitors center. That is the size of Salmon I had hoped to catch yesterday. The largest Salmon caught so far is a 97 pounder. That sure puts my 38 pounder to shame last year, and really makes what I caught yesterday to shame. Nada....

This is the walkway along the river that folks can fish from. They guy in the orange is sitting on a rock fishing for Red Salmon. He caught one while we were there. He gave it to another guy saying he does not eat fish, just likes to catch them. He is a retired guy from Venice Florida, and he has been here for 3 weeks fishing and giving his fish away. The fish he is catching are Red Salmon that are on their way to giving their lives away up stream. My guide says they lay along the banks at times resting and just lay there with their mouths open, and people throw their lines out there and snag them, as they will not strike a bait. This guy was just throwing a line with a feathered hook out and pulling it back in hoping to snag a fish. Guide said the fish are not real good to eat as they are Morphing into ugly Salmon and the meat doesn't taste very good. The people on my fishing trip caught a couple of these small fish and wanted to keep them. I decided to not try my luck catching a fish that was on their way to get laid and produce more fish.

Above is the mighty fisherman walking along the Kenia river in Soldotna, Alaska. Asked Amy to stay with me while I did some fishing so she could take my picture catching a fish. You all don't want to know what she said!!! I had forgotten that kind of language from my time in the USMC.!!
We will be leaving here in the morning for Homer for 5 days there. Not sure if I will try my hand at fishing there or not. Plan to do some checking on how the catching is before I fork over a bunch of money to fish. Might be a better deal to just buy the fish and eat it. Saw at Fred Meyer's that Halibut was $17.99 a pound. Could make a bunch of money if I went and caught a 300 pound Halibut??? Could not get it all in our freezer.
Also saw at the Big Fred Meyer's store stacks of boxes for sale for people to put their fish catches in and send by Fed Ex or UPS back home. Saw three different sizes. I guess you would have to find some Dry Ice to put in with it?? I don't have to worry about that as yet.

Hi All:

I would have included photo's of my fish from my fishing trip, but they would be BLANK. We got under way at 0545 and put our lines in the water at 0600 right on time. I was put on a boat with a husband and wife, AND a 9 year old who I tried to throw over board several times, but he kept crawling back in the boat. Was an awful trip. His parents thought he was cute in every stupid thing he did. I sure hope I was nothing like that when I was 9. I caught NO fish, so BOB, I had a $300 boat trip this time. The guide kept us out for 10 hours trying his best to put us on fish, but couldn't. The little turd caught two fish. One silver Salmon and one red salmon. His Dad caught one Red also. The mother caught none, just like me....It started raining about 2 PM and rained until we got to the dock at about 1630. I had not gone to the head in 10 hours so I ran to the Rent-a-Crapper for relief. Got in the car to get home and the gate was locked with a combination lock and no one had the combination???? After about half hour someone came along that knew the combo, and I got out of there. Got home and my sweety had a "Lord" for me and all was well. Especially after the wonderful dinner she had for me to... Sorry it was a bad fishing day. But did see some wonderful river views. Only wild stuff I saw was two eagles, and a million Sea Gulls.

All is well, but sorry no new photos' this time.....I am almost warmed up now, and dry. Glad I did go buy a pair of waterproof trousers. They worked perfect.....

Hi Again: Amy didn't do much withe the camera on this trip, so I have to bore you with some more of Seward.... Above is a sneak photo she took while I was trying to stay awake in the Aquarium waiting for a moose, or a whale to go by.. Nothing happened. But wait Look below...

Well, while I was waiting this little 1500 pound seal showed up. They were feeding him fish etc and he wanted more of course. Woke me up..

The photo above is at the glacier again. They are making new walkways for folks to get closer to the ice. I thought we were closer to the ice last time we were there. Still the ice made me think of Scotch on the rocks too Harry...hee hee.

This is a photo of the end of the Exit Glacier where it turns in to water and runs down on all the people of Alaska. The water from glacier's is always green, and there is no fish in the water. To cold I guess, and when it gets cold again and freezes up there is NO water for fish to live in. No "Fish on the Rocks" I guess.
We got to Soldotna early, so we stopped at the local "Fred Mayes" store for gas. Fred Mayers is a big store like Walmart. None of them around here, Just Fred Mayers. They are a little bigger than the Super Walmarts I think. We got behind another Motor Home that needed diesel and I think he must have loaded up a couple hundred gallons of the stuff. took about 30 minutes waiting on him to get out of the way. We filled up with our 30 gallons and went to the campground. Staying at Klondike Campground. Same place we stayed in 2008. Nice place. We then went to see where I have to be in the morning at 0530 for my fishing trip. Found it and then went back to Fred Mayers so I could get my King Salmon Stamp for fishing. Also got a pair of rain trousers just in case I need them in the morning, or tomorrow..
Amy did some more laundry here at the campground. Sounded like fun to me??? I sure appreciate her doing my clothes!!!!
Not much to report today. Hope I can have some nice photo's of fish for tomorrows report.......

Hi All: WOW, We had a nice day today. No rain till the end. We got an early start. (Early for us), and went to the Exit Glacier. You can drive up only so far to it. The photo above is along the road to the welcome center. From there you have about a mile walk up to the Glacier along a nice trail at first, then it turns in to a walk up a path that is cut in the mountain with rock etc. Have to watch your step.

The photo above is part of the trail after the paved part. It gets much worse ad you go along. Really rough as you get higher on the Mountain. WE had no problem going up at all, and it was a little tougher on us old folks going back down. I remember this walk last time, as I had to use my cane going up, and remember it was worse coming back down... This trip was a piece of cake.. Didn't find any Moose Pooo on the tail this time. We found many plops of it last time....

WE made it to the Glacier. It was really cold there too. Lots of "People" there. Some of them I wondered how they got up there...I had to dig my "Alaska" coat out from under the bed to take along. I thought we were able to get closer to the glacier last time, but maybe not...

Amy took this shot of the glacier cracks. They had a beautiful blue color, and were very deep. Never thought of a glacier as being very thick. They are many many feet thick. All different I'm sure. But this one looked like it was about 30 - 50 feet thick, and there was lots of water flowing from it on down the mountain...Surprising, there were still lots of mosquito's and flies up there with the ice....

We made it down the mountain just fine. There was one couple that was worried about us making it down. Nice to see some folks worried about 'OLD' folks hee hee.
We went to the Aquarium in town after we got down. Legs were kinda wobbly, but we got in the place OK. It was very interesting with lots of live fish etc. There was a deck to walk out on to see the bay and it showed this nice shot of the ice mountain in a little picture between the clouds. Know Amy takes away from the beauty of it all..
We made it back to camp in fine shape, and decided to cook in instead of going to a restaurant for a $35 dinner each... Giving my trouble to the "Lord" now. "Lord Calvert"..
Leave here in the morning for Soldotna. Weather says a front is trying to get here from the West. Hope it stalls out there. Have to get my King Salmon tag tomorrow, and maybe a pair of rain trousers. Have a coat, but no trousers. Left them home. Guide I talked to said to bring rain stuff....Looking forward to the fishing trip. Didn't get a chance to check out the lake here for Rainbow Trout. Still hope to get a chance to fish some streams. Have seen a couple streams coming here with fisherman standing side by side fishing in the stream.....Wish me luck.

Hi All: The white patch in the photo above is Ice. We are in Seward, Alaska now. It's on the shore of Resurrection Bay. It's a bug Port and rail junction. Made it down here with no problems, and the rain was only every once in a while. Most of the day after we got here had been sunny and nice. The creek thru the campground that they said I could fish in is a Glacier River, so there are no Fish in it. There is no river/creek in the winter as the glacier's are not melting. A worker here at the park told me of a place up the road a ways that I may be able to get a Rainbow Trout. Amy and I checked out the place, and if I have time tomorrow I may go there and try to find one or two of those trout....

Above is a photo of the beautiful area on our way down from Anchorage to Seward. The Mountains are beautiful with parts of them showing glaciers or snow. Just beautiful. Some parts come close to the road we are on. We plan to go to the Exit Glacier here in Seward. We can walk to the glacier. We walked there last time we were here. I had just had my new knee installed, so it was a tough walk there. Hope it is easier this time. Do remember it is awful cold at the glacier. Never thought much about how big a glacier is, but it was over 20 feet thick and beautiful clear blue ice. AND cold. Must remember to take my big Alaska Coat...

Amy caught me looking at some of the local weeds here. We had drove down to the fishing area the local worker told me of that I may be able to pick up a couple rainbow trout for dinner tomorrow. Amy would not walk down the dirt road with me. She says that there is a bear waiting on us down there... Told her she could probably out run me, so she would be safe from a bear attack. hee hee.

Here is a nice site for our Motor Home. To bad Amy didn't take a photo of the mountains from inside our rig. Ice covered mountains. A Glacier river just 200 feet from the front of our rig. Oh, yea, we found out where all the mosquito's have been hiding. They are here.. I put a Bounce Dryer sheet in my pocket, and it sure seems to work... Went out later and they didn't want to have much to do with me.

We plan to be here one more night. Going to the Seward aquarium tomorrow, and I don't know what else. Might get to check out my fishing??? We drove down thru the town today. Did remember it.

Bob... It's the same campground we stayed at, and the road in here was even worse than it was when we were here before. Bending, twisting dirt road to the campground. The pot holes were some of the worst we've seen in Alaska yet. Guess the rain they have had has had an affect....Still a nice campground. However, we cannot get WiFi at our site. Nice to have our Verizon Thingy. It works well. Kind slow here, but works great....

We will be here one more night then on to Soldotna for my fishing trip on 30 July.....

Don, Amy & Sleepy Pharoah...

Harry. Sure look forward to your comments. Thanks... Yea, I had the red hat on. hee hee. Cannot find any wild animals on this trip. Should have come up here in June like last time...

Hi All: The photo above is from the front of a T shirt Amy bought me today. It says it all for the Alaska Weather up here so far. It has been raining all night, AND all day so far. Got up and went to a Village Inn for breakfast. Very good. Think we are going back there this evening for dinner... The weather is sure S----y for sure. It has not stopped raining for one minute so far today.

We did make it to the Anchorage Museum today though. Picture above is a Musk Ox. It didn't smell as bad as one in real life does... Had to park in a parking lot for $5 for 2 hours. Had 10 minutes left after we saw all there was in the museum.. Nice place..

I am smiling Brenda!!! Another stuffed varmint here at the museum.

Your Mom had to hang some of her clothes up to dry while we were in the museum?? They sure raised hell with her about it??? hee hee.
We are leaving in the morning for Seward, AK for two nights there, then going to Soldotna where I go fishing on the 30th. Going for a full day. Bob and I only went for half a day when we were here before. I got a mail from the guide giving me directions to the dock etc. Have to be there at 0530. Don't have to worry about it being light enough to see here. Still get over 17 hours of sunlight here. Hard to tell with all the rain clouds though....

Hi All: We are still in Anchorage, AK. It rained most of the night and all morning, and all day, and it's now 1830 and it's still raining. We got up this morning and Amy thought we'd go to town for breakfast, so we got her Maps and hit the road. We are not used to being in a big town so it was trying.... We finally found the place that Amy had read about having the best breakfast in Alaska and I guess they may be right, as they were standing in line to get in, so we went up the street and found a Denny's and had breakfast there. There was a Fred Mayer's. It's like a real big big Walmart and spent some time in there looking around where it was not raining. Thought we'd then go to the museum in town and drove by it and it looked like it was not open yet so we came back to the Motor Home and unloaded the stuff bought at Fred Mayer's. Food and etc....
Bob, Here's a motor cycle Amy said she may even ride in. IF she gets a Tattoo?? Doubt she'll be getting one as the little tents they stay in is not of her liking...

Here is the Ulu factory. It's an Alaskan knife that they have been using since before time began. We got a couple of them last time we were here. Have never used it, but they do look like they would be useful????

Here is the "Man Waitin' On A Woman" again. Seems that is all he does??

Maybe here is the reason he's Waitin' On A woman?? She had no key???
It's been an awful day here. The TV won't work due to being digital and using the antenna, when it rains we get no picture. We will be watching a movie from our stash tonight I figure. At least we do have WiFi, and it works real good.
Amy did decide to take a ride to a festival area a little way from us this afternoon. She drove there and found a parking lot where you have to put your $2 in the machine and it will give you a parking permit. Well, she put her only two dollars in it and it took them but would not give her a permit, so she was pissed and she came home. Has been upset most of the day. Not sure if it was the $2, or me bitching about driving around in the rain looking for things to do?? Asked her if she wanted to go out for dinner and she said NO, so we didn't!!! She is now playing Snood, so maybe she'll get to feeling happier soon....???
Hope tomorrow is better than today, but the weather report is not real encouraging. Will just have to hope so. I am not coming back to this town ever.....

Hi All: We made it to Anchorage about 2 hours ago. When we left Denali the sun was trying to come out and it was NOT raining. We got about 20 miles out of Denali and the rain started and it rained almost all the way to Anchorage, and it is still raining now. We had to unhook the car and dolly and back in to a space. We are at the "Shipcreek Campground". Amy took me up to Shipcreek without a paddle???? Bad huh??? They are having some kind of thing in town here about 15 minutes walk from the campground tomorrow that we plan on going to. Guy at the office said it is better to walk down there than to drive as they charge to much to park there, and we do need to walk, UNLESS it is raining again, then we will drive and Amy can pay the big bucks to park. Bear above is about the only wild thing along the road we saw. Except a nice big moose along the road eating, but Amy didn't have her camera ready and missed him. Have not seen near as many animals on this trip as we did with Bob and Dorene. To many vehicles on the road I think. If I ever came back here again it would be early like we did in 2008 before all these PEOPLE got on the highway....

Finally got out of the rain clouds and could see some of the mountains on the way down from Denali. We have ice/snow covered mountains down this way. We drove 250 miles south and it got colder than it was in Denali the farther South we went. Had the heater on all day with Amy holding her feet to the vents...

Another shot of the mountains finally showing up thru the clouds. We read in the Mile Post that there was beautiful mountains on the right and left, but we could see nothing... Just rain.

This is what it looked like most of the way down here. Hid the mountains all the way down, and now that we are in Anchorage it is still foggy and rainy. Office guy said it was supposed to be like this for the next 9 days?? Oh well, we can survive.....

We didn't stop here this time, but we did last time before we ever heard of this town. Wasilla should be the capital rather than Juneau as you can get to Wasilla and you cannot drive to the capital at all. Have to take a boat to get there.

This is on the bank of the NENANA river that they had the white water rafts in Denali. I had thought of taking a dip, but changed my mind. They take raft trips on the NENANA TO THE TANANA river. Harry, that's another book....
Good WiFi here, but no cable TV. Do have several TV stations on the Antenna though. Saturday is kind bad for TV on regular channels....

Hi All: Well, we had a day with little rain, but looked like it could rain at any time all day. Windy and COLD. Probably not cold for Alaskans but was cold for Amy and I. We went to the Denali national Park Visitors Center. We had taken the 8 hour bus tour last time here and decided there wasn't anything along that road that we missed last time. The moose above was stuffed in the Visitors Center..

We had hopes of seeing Mount McKinley today, but as you can see above, This is a small mountain that is on the way to the Big one, and we cannot even see the top of this low thing that don't even have a name as far as we know.

Think I mentioned that a Tent City was here at the campground with a green bus. Above is it.. They were all around the bus this morning as someone had cooked breakfast over there. Don't know what it was though. Amy and I had talked about messing up our hair and getting a back pack and walk over and hope they would feed us, but decided we'd cook ourselves here in the Motor home where it was warm, so we did..A couple of the tents were blown over yesterday with all the wind. I think they have them stuck down now. Not sure what they all do, but think they are hikers, as all of them have back packs and walking shoes, and all of them are skinny, so they must walk off all their breakfasts????They are still here this afternoon at 1600, but none have shown up yet....

Here is the sign for the Denali Park entrance. Had to prove we were here....

Here's a shot of an "Old Goat".. NOT the one on the floor, the one on the rock!!!!They had a lot of stuffed animals throughout the visitors center at the Park...

We are near the Nenana River here and there are a lot of rafting outfits here. We got to one landing as one boat full of NUTS were taking off for a trip. River is almost ALL white water. I wanted to go on a trip, but my "Short Haired Bunky" didn't want to go....Chicken....
Harry. I will try to keep the phrases coming your way. They don't come out on purpose, so we'll just have to wait for one to pop up. The "Road To Chicken" caused Harry and a couple other folks to write a story about that little clip. It is on his Face book. Really good too. Way to go Harry....
We will be leaving here in the morning for Anchorage for 3 nights, and doing whatever in that town. Still will be in Soldotna for my fishing trip on the 30th. Going to Seward before that as the guide didn't have any opening till the 30th, so Amy had to juggle our schedule around to have us there on those dates. No problem as we really don't have a schedule until she makes the reservations a couple days in advance of our arrival. Have had no problems getting in the campgrounds we want so far. This one is pretty busy, and fills up late in the day. We have one that pulled in next to us and is so close I can almost touch the rig from our window. Don't know why some folks have to park so close. I have come to the conclusion that they have a hard time putting their 5th Wheel, or trailers where they want them, so if they get kinda in the right spot they leave it alone. I think that is it from watching some of them get settled. To bad we don't have to pass a test on driving these rigs before they let them on the highway. I've been doing it since 1966, so have gotten pretty good at it....Even this 37 foot thing with the car hooked on the back...

Hi All: Didn't do a Blog yesterday. Not much to report. We did go tot he Farmers Market in the rain, as it rained almost all day. We did buy some veggies there. Got One stalk of Rhubarb for me. .50.. 2 tomatoes for $3.00, a small basket of Juliet Tomatoes he called "Small Roma's" 2 bunches of large radishes for $5, and one cucumber for $1. Stuff is kind expensive here, But those farmers have to make all they can in the short growing season they have. They have to grow tomatoes in green houses as it is to cold for tomatoes, but cold crop stuff like cabbage, lettuce etc does super in the 21 hour daylight days.

That evening we went to the "Turtle Club" where Bob and Dorene took us on our anniversary in 2008. It was exactly as remembered, AND the food was just as good. Amy had Prime Rib, which we have enough left for maybe two more meals. I had their "Halibut Chunks" Deep fried. they were excellent. Just as good as Cod, or Red Fish. Now I have to catch a couple Halibut to bring some of that stuff home....When we had it before we thought it was a little fishy tasting, but what I've had this time a couple times has been just outstanding....Bob, Remember the sign above????

Having my salad from the very nice salad bar at the Turtle Club. All was so good there. I was a little against going as it was raining and miserable, but Amy beat me and kicked me out of the Motor Home to the car. Glad she did..

A shot of the Valley of Fairbanks as we are on our way to the Denali Park area. We got up in to the clouds in the mountains leaving Fairbanks. Road was pretty good. Had some construction of course, No gravel, and I was glad as I didn't put the cover on the Saturn.

The 18 wheelers are a little different up here. Count the wheels, and this is not one of the big ones with MORE wheels....

Bob and Dorene may recognize this sign. It's where we stayed with them up here. Place has not changed at all, but we don't have the little old guy living in the back of his pick up truck with the wood burning stove in it selling his awful carvings etc. It's a lot cooler here than Fairbanks, and a lot more wind today. Did go out and find the ice cream store we found before. It was good again.

Motor Home parked at the Rainbow campground. Same tough gas station I have to use to get gas on our way out is still here. Steep ramp in and out of it. Will use it when we leave day after tomorrow. We will go to Denali Park tomorrow. Not sure what we will do. We took the bus ride thru the park last time, and doubt we will do it again. Lots and Lots of Tour buses around with Thousands of People. I hate people.....
Harry... I saw your Road to Chicken on Facebook. Super job. They have opened up that road I hear for people to get in and out of Chicken again.....Way to go.
Well, I guess I brought it all up to date for now.

P.S. Have Cable TV and WiFi here. All is good...

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

HI All: Another rainy morning this morning, but it cleared up nicely during the day. We got to the Gold Mine trip at about 0930 and was on the train going about 15 minutes later. Sure had a bunch of folks with this trip. 6 tour buses pulled in and filled up the train with folks from New York I think. I had to ask some dummy that was standing up in front of us to either sit down or move. He moved... Photo above is of a 19 ounce nugget of gold. Sign said it was worth $40,000.00, but the sign was a couple years old. They said it is probably worth about $60,000 now. It was just laying there so people could pick it up and see how heavy it was.. Really heavy. The big guy standing there watching was heavy also.

Above is the conductor of the train. He sang songs and played his guitar and fiddle for the trip up to the mine and back also. He's been with them a long time. Bob and Dorene probably recognize him from our 2008 trip...

The did some panning etc of the dirt there, and this is what was found in three pans in the ditch they were in. Pretty good deal. We did not get near that much when Amy and I did our panning.

Here's the big gold panner herself at the panning table. They give everyone a little bag of dirt and teach everyone how to pan. Amy and I ended up with a total of 8 grains of gold for a worth of $34.00. Amy took it all and had it put in a necklace thingy so she can look at it for the rest of our life. It was more than we got the last time. It was a fun time except for all the people. I hate people...

And here we are again 'WAITI'N ON A WOMAN" Do a lot of that these days.

We went to a place called Pioneer Park for dinner this evening. They have a Salmon roast, Deep fried Halibut, and Cod, and prime rib dinner there. Wasn't real excited about going as I figured the 450 people from the boat would be there too, but when we got there there was about 10 people in line. Was a good thing??? The food was great. They cook the salmon over a wood fire right there and you get it from the fire. The prime rib was great. Baked beans, and Caesar salad, plus all kinds of salad, and the Cod and Halibut was beer battered and deep fried. It was super. The salmon was the best I've had, and I'm not a salmon person. I did go back and get some more cod and halibut. Could not taste the difference in the cod and halibut. Also had cake for desert. Was a nice place. Glad Amy made me go.....

Came back and was ready for a shower and rest and watch TV for the evening. Could not get any hot water and found Amy had turned the hot water heater off some time this morning for some reason. So no I am waiting for hot water...

Going to the Farmers Market tomorrow, and then we have dinner reservations at the Turtle Restaurant where Bob and Dorene took us to dinner on our anniversary when we were here in 2008... Will miss Bob and Dorene there...

Hi All: We woke up to rain again this morning. Not cold, but raining lightly... We had breakfast, then Amy started the spring cleaning of the rig. She first washed the sheets off the bed, then proceded to kicking me out so she could do the floors. I went even though I wanted to help her do the cleaning.????, Well may not.

We had an appointment to go on the boat trip at 1400, and got there in plenty of time. There was a line of hundreds of people waiting to load when we got there. Picked up our tickets that we paid for at the Campground and proceded to the load line. Gal at the ticket place told us of a quicker way to get on and we went there. Got nice seats at the top deck that we wanted and it was supriseling fast that all got aboard. Left the dock and headed down river to the area that another river crosses this one. We are on the Chena river here.

A picture of my Sweety at the Stern of the boat by the flags. No rain, but little sun either. Was fairly comfortable along the trip.

When we got to the end of the Chena River and where the Tanana river crosses it we found that the Tanana river was one of those rivers of mud. The photo above shows the mud flowing from left to right, and sneaking in towards us.. Really muddy.

The trip of the boat took us to an area they have set up as an old Eskemo village, and we got off and went on a tour of the village. Above is a photo of a volunteer from the Collage in Fairbanks who is a native eskamo from a trip here who talked to us about how things are and were with their people. Showing some of the clothes they made and how they got them. This is one of the coats they made... Really beautiful..

Also had some Raindeer. They are Raindeer if they are captive. If they are wild they are Carbou. Both the same animal....This is the only deer family that the female's have antileers just like the big guys..., And they both loose them each year.

Also stopped at an area along the way that raised sled dogs. He had some hooked up to a four wheel vehicle, and let them take off pulling it along. No power from the 4 wheeler, just Dog Power. They took of like a bat out of you know where, and ran around an area full blast at about 20MPH. After they got back he unhooked them and they ran in the water to cool off I guess. Nice boat trip. It was about 4 hours all told and very interesting.
Got back to the motor home and we had spegathetti for dinner. Super.
Going to the Gold Mine in the morning to get a big pile of gold. Then thinking of going to a place called Pioneer Park where they have a Salmon bake and several different meals that should be good.
I did get hold of the guide that took us fishing last time and I am set up to go fishing for a full day trip on 30 July in Soldotna. Amy set up reservations there for 29,30 & 31 July. The Guide I had before is booked full, but he said he has a couple guides that are good, so I will be going with a different guide. No problem. Same body of water. The Kenia River....Wish me luck. Would like to get another nice big King Salmon. They say they are hard to find this year. Said that last time we were here also....Also plan to go on a Halibit fishing trip in Homer which is a few days away...
Camp ground filled up again this evening with another caravan. Seems like there are a lot of them going on around here now.. Sure glad I'm not hooked up with any of them....
