Hi All: Had a nice day today. It was raining naturally this morning, and we went out and I got my haircut. Cost $24 for a haircut. A little more than I pay in the lower 48. We then went to the artist Studio of Normal Lowell here in Homer. They are friends of Kat's Mom and Dad's when they were stationed here in Alaska in 1964. He is one of the finest artists I have ever seen. His little painting are going for from $35,000.00 each to $175,000.00. That is the small regular painting you hang on the wall. The painting above is about 10x12 feet. No price on that one, or the ones in the Gallery.

This is another painting hanging in the Gallery. It's at least 12'x12' Beautiful painting...

This is their old Homestead house they lived in when Kate and her family knew them. It is still on the property, and I cannot believe a family could live there, especially when it gets to 30 below zero. Quite a person that can endure that kind of weather in a little cabin heated by one little stove....That's Amy there considering trading our house in Florida for this cabin?????

This is Norman and Lilly Lowell. They were super folks and we had a nice visit with them. They of course remember Ben and Ethel Stevenson. They now have a beautiful large log home located next to their gallery.

Here's another painting he did. You can see how large it is with me standing beside it admiring it.

Another large painting that you feel you can walk right in to.
Harry, I am sure you could have done this just as good as his..
Bob, I'm sure you remember some of these paintings from our trip up here. You also can do this I am sure... Get to work....
We have one more day here in Homer before we leave for Palmer, AK. From now on we are on our way home, as Homer was the final destination for our going part of the trip...
Semper Fi
Don, Amy & Pharaoh....
Harry: Yea, the fishing trip made me tired too. But I was ready to go again the next day, but 'Amy wouldn't give me any money.. hee hee.
