Hi Again: Well, it's our last ay here in Delaware. Had a nice day today. Amy and Judy went shopping, and Tom and I went target shooting with a couple of his new weapons. Had a nice time.
Going to have dinner at Tom and Judy's again. We plan to pick up a cooked chicken at the grocery store and the stuff that goes with it and have it at their place. Plan to come home early tonight as we want to get on the road early in the morning. Have a long day to get to New Castle tomorrow. Hope the holiday traffic will all be gone by the time we get going. Concerned a little about the traffic around Washington, D.C.
Hope to have some photo's for the next blog. Amy is remiss in her duties of taking pictures. Haven't done much interesting here for photo's though.

Hi Again: Still in Delaware. Will be here one more day then off to New Castle, PA. Having a good time with Tom and Judy. Their Son Tom and his wife Georgia came down from Dover, DE yesterday and we had a steak cook out. Tom and Georgia brought their two kids with them. Rachel, and Mat. Two wonderful young adults. Rachel has graduated from High School this year, and Mat will graduate next year I think. Mat is considering joining the USMC. He would make a super Marine. He has wrestled during High School and appears to be in great physical shape. He would have no trouble getting thru boot camp, or a career in the Marine Corps for that matter. Rachael is a beautiful young lady and is planning to attend college. I'm sure she will be very successful in any area she decided to participate in.. Just great young folks.
Was going to do some shooting with Tom today, but it is so warm and humid today we decided to have a lazy day. Amy is there not washing clothes, and I had to come back to the Motor Home to do the monthly bills. Sure makes it easy to do it all on line these days.
No Photos this time. We were very remiss in not taking photos of Tom and Georgia's family. We are kicking our butts about it now.....Need to get Tom and Judy to take some photo's for us so I can put their photo's on the blog.
I guess I better go back and get Amy at Tom and Judy's now. Think we are going to have pizza for dinner tonight. That's good. Had a great Steak cooked my Tom yesterday.. Was super..

Hi All:
Sorry I didn't get a blog out yesterday. We got away from the KOA campground at about 0730, and got going to Tom And Judy's in Delaware. Traffic wasn't bad at all around Washington, D.C. this time and we got to the camp ground with no problems. Amy had called the campground to make sure they knew we were coming in as scheduled and set it up to park where we had parked last year when we were there. She was told that he would probably not be there and to just hook up and he'd get with us later. Got there and he was no where around so we parked where we were last year. Just after we got the jacks down and water hooked up etc he pulled in and asked if we would move to another site he thinks is better. So, we unhooked and moved there. Got hooked up there and tried to get satellite locked up and found we were in the trees to much and could not get the satellite, SOOOO, got hold of him again and asked if we could move back to where we were. He said no problem.. So we got hooked up again and all worked just fine..
Tom and Judy showed up while we were hooking up so we visited a while, then went to their place where Judy needed to put a ham in the oven to cook for dinner. WE then took a ride to deliver some fishing poles Tom was selling and drove around a little, then went back home. There we found that the ham didn't get put in the oven so we decided to go out for dinner. Went to a super Italian Restaurant we have been before and had a very good and plentiful dinner. Came back and watched a movie on TV and came home about 10 PM and went to bed very tired. So had a busy day with no pictures taken.
We got up this morning and went over to Tom And Judy's and we went to breakfast at a nice little place near our campground. Food was good. Then we drove to Dover, Delaware Air Force Base to a Air Force Museum and walked around a very interesting place. Took a couple pictures as shown above. Amy found an ejection seat to rest in. I couldn't get it to work though. She also took a long distance shot as shown.
Going back to Tom and Judy's for dinner tonight.. Going to have the ham that didn't get cooked yesterday I think...
Amy is now taking a nap. Has about an hour before we have to get going again. Having fun is tiring???

Hi from Virginia:
It's about 1830 and we just got here at the KOA campground in Fredericksburg. Hard to believe that this campground is so close to a bush big city. It's really out in the woods. Very nice place. We have been here a couple times before though.
Trip here was long. A little over 10 hours of driving. Longer than we usually like to drive, but wanted to get close to Washington DC so we can get around it before the crowd starts going to Delaware on the only road there. Hope we can beat the crowd tomorrow.
We stopped at a Subway Sandwich place and got a sandwich today around 1400, and that is also our supper. Still full. That was the plan. Also to make me less hungry, there was a Dairy Queen next to it, so I had to have one of those for desert. I'm so full I don't even want a drink this evening.
Not much to report so far. Kinda boring and not many things to take photo's of. Just Amy and I. Pharaoh keeps hid or just sleeping.. Except to wake up to beg for food.

Hi All: We are at Jolly Acres Campground in St. George, South Carolina today. Got here about 1530. Got out of Lake City about 0900 and filled up with gas at the campground for $2.76. Easiest gas stop we've had in a long time. Pump was right in line with leaving the campground.
Got to I-10 and headed toward I-95 and was wondering why my MPG was a little lower than when we left Floral City. Finally noticed we were running in to a 15 or so MPH headwind today. Wind from the North. Not normal for this time of year. So I lost a good 1 MPG today. Yuck. Gas was cheaper in GA when we got there, but didn't need any there, Then when we got to South Carolina it is $2.56 here. Hope I can find a station tomorrow when we leave for that price. Have to find a station I can use though. I need 40 acres to turn this rig around, and CANNOT back up more than a couple feet due to the tow dolly with the car on it. So we have to use "The Next Exit" to find stations along the interstates that we can use. Usually have to use a Pilot, or a T/A station. I can swing to the last row of pumps on the right and swing out away from them and come in to the last pump at an angle so I can make the turn to leave the place. Usually works pretty well, but does block the next to last lane a little. They get enough of our $$$ to let me do that though. hee hee.
As your can see by the photo's, we have come thru Georgia and South Carolina.. Jan, we are in your State now.. We have to make a trip here in your state soon to visit you guys...
We will leave here in the AM for Fredericksburg, VA at a KOA for one more night, then off to Delaware to visit Amy's Brother Tom and his wife Judy in Ellendale, DA. Will be there for 5 nights, then off to New Castle, PA for a 2 week visit to visit with relatives and friends from there.
Last night Amy and I had decided to walk to the Cracker Barrel for dinner, but when we were about to leave a storm came thru, so we cooked a couple hamburgers in. Probably better that what we would have gotten at Cracker Barrel. So tonight we are cooking in again. Having Meat Ball sandwiches. Sounds good to me again.....
Well, better get going with things here.
Later.

Hi all: We got off this morning at about 1015. I had to work on the Satellite box as it would not work at first. I messed around for some time and finally found the new cable that came with the satellite dish had a bad connector. Changed it and all worked good.
As we were pulling out of our drive and going down past Ken and kate's house we saw them running out from their house with their suit cases holding up their thumbs wanting a ride. What a send off. They gave us a super laugh sending us off. Can never out guess those two.
We got to "The In and Out Campground" in Lake City about 1300 and got hooked up nice and comfy. Plan to kill a couple Porterhouse Steaks for supper and just relax for two days here. As you can see from the photo above the Love Bugs are out in force. I guess we always plan to go somewhere in May, as we always get to kill lots of love bugs leaving Florida. Have to get them off the front of your vehicle as soon as possible also, as they eat the paint off the vehicle within hours I think. Hope to get out of town a little earlier when we leave to beat the bugs before they get up.
I went to get something out of the Saturn and realized I had not brought the keys for it. I loaded it up yesterday evening and then put the keys on the hook in the house and never picked them up when we left. Thanks goodness Amy brought her set of keys. We called Brenda and had her send my keys to Aunt Beryl in New Castle. Thank Goodness for Brenda and Dave taking care of our house while we are gone. She was there today working on the garden, and I'm also sure she was working on her Melanoma out by the pool. They plan to be there on weekends while we are gone. Their Summer home??? If it weren't for them and Ken and Kate we would not be able to make these trips..
Well, It's our first day on the road and all is going good so far....

Leaving Tomorrow!!
Hi All: Well the time is almost here. We plan to get on the road tomorrow morning sometime and drive to Lake City, FL where we will stay for two nights to rest up from all the hectic stuff we have been doing to get ready to go have fun. We'll leave there and spend a night in Saint George, SC, and another night in Fredericksburg, VA, then on to Tom and Judy's for 5 days in Delaware. Then on to New Castle, Pa for about 2 weeks to visit relatives there.
Have been working hard getting things done so Brenda and Dave won't have all the work to do while they are looking after out place while we are gone. The garden is just starting to produce ripe tomatoes and I have to miss all that. Brenda and Dave will pick the garden and she will can most of the tomatoes from the 88 plants I sat out. Also lots of green beans to pick, cucumbers, peppers, both Bell, and Jalapeno. Kate has planted a bunch of watermelon plants in the garden. It will be a while before they are ready as she got them late. they should be good though. They are starting to take over the half of the 50' X 50' garden. She she should have lots of melons when they show up....
Amy has been working hard trying to get everything we own in the Motor Home. Have mentioned that we have a weight limitation, but I don't think she is listening to me as usual. hee hee.
Well, just thought I'd sent out a "Warning Notice" about checking the blog. Will try to talk to you all each day and will have photo's also...

13 May 2010
Hi All: Only 10 more days till we leave good Ole Floral City. Amy and I have been doing all the things necessary to get ready for the departure (D DAY).. On our last trip to Canada I had checked with my Cell Phone company (allTel) about using the phone in Canada. They told me I was all set. Well, when we made several calls while in Canada to make reservations for campgrounds, and also Amy calling folks back home we got a cell phone bill of a $200+ I checked again with AllTell and then told me then that my program is OK to call IN TO Canada, Not out of Canada. DUH??? Any way I have switched to Verizon now and have checked with them as to what I have to do to make the cell phone OK in Canada the two months we will be traveling there. July and August. Also want my Internet Card to also work in Canada, so found out how to make the change to make it work.. So I think we are ready in that area. Amy is loading up the Motor Home beyond capacity again I fear. Not sure we have enough weight limitations left for Gas??? Hope so. Also home Gas prices go back down a little too. We paid $5.88 a gallon last time we were in Canada.. Don't want to do that any more....
Well, just wanted to put a blog in to let you all know we are on track to leave 23 May. Plan to go to a campground in North Florida and stay there for two nights getting ourselves tuned in to living in the Motor Home again. We usually do that, and it also lets us wind down from the final rush to get all things ready.
Then we will head for Delaware. Have to say one night in South Carolina, and one night in Virginia before we get to Amy's brothers town in Delaware. Will be there for 5 nights, then on to New Castle, PA. for 2 weeks, then head west for Montana, with many stops along the way..
See ya all later.
