Hi All: Still getting ready for the trip. I think I have the rig all ready to go. Amy is continuing to fill it up with STUFF. Keep telling her that we have a weight limit, NOT a space limit. Don't think she hears me.
Only 4 weeks to go now and we will be heading out.
Have the garden all planted. Only put in 88 tomato plants this year, plus green peppers, Jalapeno Peppers, Onions, Green Beans, Yellow Beans and cucumbers. Doubt we will get much of the harvest before we leave though. Do hope a couple tomatoes will be ready before we leave. Also my peach tree is loaded this year. I fear we won't get any of those either. Asked Brenda to can some of them for me if we don't get any. She will be canning all the stuff in the garden while we are gone also. She has taken up the canning chore from Amy the last couple years. She's gotten real good at it also. Her and Dave will be taking care of the house while we are gone. They call it their Summer Home??? Sure glad they are here. We would not be able to go like we do without their help taking care of the place while we are gone. Ken and Kate next door also watch our place during the week for us also. It's sure good to have them as neighbors also.
Well, Just wanted to update the Blog and let you all know we are excited to be going in 4 weeks. We will miss Bob and Dorene who came with us in 2008, but they cannot get away this year.

10 April 2010
Hi All: Still in Florida, but getting things ready for a 23 May departure yet.
Dave and I got the tires on the Motor Home rotated the other day, and I changed the brake pads. Think it is pretty much ready to hit the road. Moved it up close to the house so Amy can start loading the tons of stuff she seems to be able to find to take on these trips. Most of it is essential, but some of it never gets used. I'm that way too, so glad we have some extra room. However, we don't have a lot of extra weight to add to the Motor Home. It can only stand so much.
Amy is now washing and polishing the cars getting ready. Was hoping she would just keep going and polish the Motor Home, but I suspect that is one job she will leave for me???
As I said, we plan to leave here on 23 May and spend two days at a campground in North Florida, trying to get used to being in the rig again. Then one more day in Virginia some where, then on in to Delaware to visit Tom and Judy Shelar. (Amy's Brother). Will be there for a few days then on to New Castle, PA for about 2 or 3 weeks I think visiting some relatives there. Then on to Toledo to visit Fred Shelar (Amy's other Brother) for a couple days. That's about as far as we have planned as of now. The rest of the trip will probably be planned day by day. Like it that way.
Have my garden all planted, but doubt I will be able to eat any of it. Only planted 88 tomato plants this year. Brenda will have a ball canning while we are on the road. Peach trees are full, and Pear Tree looks like a vanilla Ice Cream cone it's so full of blossoms. Brenda says she'll try to put some in the freezer for me, or can them, or what ever. hee hee.
Got Amy a new lap top so she can stay in touch on the trip. I plan to replace my slow out of date lap top also.
Well, Enough for today. You all keep in touch.
